Future Path Vote

Results

Dear members and friends of Bonaire Church,

On behalf of our church’s Administrative Council, I would like to thank each and every person who has been involved in helping to decide our church’s future path.  Thank you for your prayers, your wisdom, and your discernment. Three years ago we began this journey together as we stepped out in faith and left the United Methodist denomination.  God has been blessing our steps since then as we have walked in obedience to him, focusing ourselves on helping people to have an authentic encounter and relationship with Jesus and letting his love bring about beautiful change in people’s lives. That mission of helping people encounter Jesus and sharing the love of Jesus with our community will continue as we go forward together into this next chapter of our life together.

Altogether we received 208 ballots. The ballots were tabulated by Mr. Kirk Scott, president of Colony Bank and the results are as follows:

167 -  votes to remain independent

41 - votes to join the Global Methodist denomination

Going forward, our church will be an independent congregation.

Once again thank you for your vital help in discerning our future.  I pray that you will continue to be in prayer and will continue to be committed to our church as we move forward together. For anyone wanting to talk further about the results, please reach out to Pastor Jason.

In Christ,

Pastor Jason
